Michael Perez is the Woodwinds Teaching Assistant at YOSAL. Born and raised in Salinas, Michael discovered a deep passion for music at a young age, and now finds great joy in sharing that passion with the next generation of young, talented musicians.

Primarily a clarinetist, Michael has been playing for over eight years and continues to develop his craft. He is currently studying at Hartnell College with the goal of transferring to a university to pursue a career in medicine.

Though his academic aspirations lie in the medical field, music will always remain a central part of his life. Michael is committed to giving back to the community that has supported him, and he hopes to continue inspiring and mentoring young musicians for years to come.
